I’ve got a lot going on over the next few months! Tomorrow I’ll be shooting a video for Didges Christ SuperDrum (one of my brother’s bands) and the background plates for "Big Mistake" (this will be an ongoing project as I’m animating everything myself.) In a few weeks, I’ll be shooting Stella Buio. Once that’s in the can, I’ll be shooting another music video for World Collision (the band for whom I made the video above.) I’ll most likely still be in post on that when I head out to L.A. for the Viscera Film Festival red carpet event and San Diego Comic Con in July.
I know it doesn’t seem like it, but I’m working on more than just Stella Buio. This image goes with a teaser image I posted about a month ago. They’re shadow puppets (designed by Austin McKinley — his website isn’t working at the moment, but I wanted to link it for when it is. :D) for a computer-assisted animated music video I’m doing for my friend, cellist John O’Keefe.
I hope I don’t offend any real animators out there with my desire to do this and do this myself. It’s something I really had a hankering to do and I know how much work is ahead of me and while part of me is, of course, thinking, “What in the hell have I gotten myself into?” the rest of me is like, “OOH! LET’S GET STARTED!”

I’ve finalized the cast for my new short film and now feel totally comfortable in announcing them all!
Lance Flint (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4666860/) will be taking on the role of Frederick, one of Julie’s brothers.
Shawn McBee (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3148296/) will be playing Victor, her other brother.
The lead zombie, Philip, will be played by Chris Cline (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3363218/) and the matriarch (what a great word…matriarch) of the family, Greta, will be played by Laura D’Anieri.
They join the previously announced Melanie Robel (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3093027/) as our lead protagonist Julie and Linnea Quigley (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001643/) as our lead antagonist, Stella Buio.
