To me, what hurts me, is the fact that you are told all the times: “we are equal”, like “I don’t know what is your deal” like “what is your fucking issue with this or with that?” and then… but then you realize: no, actually we are not! You are getting paid more than I, you get to have more options in terms of what you want to watch for entertainment. (x)

Late in the production of The Shining, as the crew filmed on the Lobby set, a small fire broke out on an adjacent sound stage. The fire quickly grew into an eleven-alarm inferno, and by morning, the sound stages containing some of The Shining’s most massive sets: The Colorado Lounge, the Lobby, and the hotel’s iconic hallways, were all but destroyed.
The next morning Stanley Kubrick surveyed the damage, and photographer Murray Close captured this image of Kubrick laughing in the face of disaster – surrounded by twisted girders and the smoldering wreckage of his sets.
I had a meeting yesterday with an old friend of mine, a local effects artist named Greg Baker and he’ll be coming on board Stella Buio to handle the practical effects! I’ve known Greg since I was in high school and I’m super excited to have him on board!

My brother sent track to me this morning an I thought I’d share a sample of it! The musical landscape of the film is shaping up nicely…I’m very much looking forward to shooting this in June!!
My brother sent me a new track for use in Stella Buio when we’re finished. It’s reminiscent of Christopher Young’s haunting work for FREDDY’S REVENGE so it’s not quite Frizzi, but I think it could absolutely be used for the film. So excited!
