The X-Files “Pilot” premiered 20 years ago today on September 10, 1993. It was viewed by 7.4 million households and 12.0 million viewers.I’m old enough to remember watching the first episode as it aired and becoming completely enamored with Scully. I’m still not over her.
I also remember watching the pilot when it broadcast (and became enamored with Scully). I was very into the whole UFOs thing (and the obsession with the potential impending end of the world with the millennium) that seemed to be very popular in the 90s. Or maybe it just seemed popular in the 90s to me, because my mom was into that stuff so we watched plenty of the shows and crappy TV documentaries on those topics.
I didn’t start watching until “Ice” and, holy moly, was I hooked.
