Thank you to all who submitted to The 2013 Viscera Film Festival. This year, we had a record year with over 150 films from all over the globe, including: Australia, Lithuania, Brazil, and the UK, and in several different languages. You have made our selection process very difficult. Announcements coming soon!

Woohoo!! Way to go everyone! Our kick-off event for the 2013-2014 tour will be on July 13 at the world famous American Cinematheque Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, California!

The Viscera Film Festival is open for submissions to our 2013 event and tour! Our festival focuses on women who direct horror films. A man may direct or co-direct the film so long as a woman fills the roles of writer/producer. Transgendered women and those who…

In the interest of full disclosure, in October of this year, I was invited to join the Board of Directors for the parent organization of this film festival alongside Shannon Lark, Heidi Honeycutt, and Stacy Hammon (and I accepted!), but let me tell you something from the heart…it’s PHENOMENAL!! I wouldn’t be working with them if I didn’t believe in what they’re doing!

The Viscera Organization is looking for a Marketing Assistant and for Tour Coordinators. These available positions are for people who speak English fluently, have a working, up-to-date computer, understand Facebook and Twitter, and are fans of film or are seeking eventual jobs in the film industry in marketing, PR, fundraising, and festival programming. A deep interest in genre films and helping minorities achieve success is a huge plus. Requirements include great grammar and spelling and basic grasp of Microsoft Word and Google Docs. College degree not required. Both men and women are encouraged to apply.

I LOVE the Viscera organization. It’s absolutely one of the best festivals I’ve ever been a part of and the people who run it are some of my favourite people evar.
